Aarav Shah

Dear SFC Community,

It deeply saddens me to announce that this past weekend Aarav Shah, age 16, has passed away. Aarav was a Director on the SFC Executive Board for over 6 months and made great contributions towards the organization including helping steer the organization towards one of our main missions of education we currently aid in. Before becoming Director, he led the WWPHSN Chapter for 2 months where he helped organize fundraisers and plan donations to foster children in New Jersey. I also had the pleasure of knowing Aarav for 2 years in middle school before we met again to work together on the foster care issue. Aarav was a brilliant young man who had a loving, driven, passionate, and caring heart. He was one of the few people I have encountered in my life who had a genuine care not just for foster children, but humanity as a whole. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

In honor of Aarav’s most affectionate, altruistic heart and his passion for education, Snuggles For Children will be donating school supplies to over 2,000 foster children at the end of August 2022 in his memory. We know that the work he has done will not be forgotten and he will forever be in our hearts and the thousands he has helped.
